Course objectives

Build a structured understanding of colonoscopy indications, bowel preparation, consent, equipment setup, and procedural checklists.
Develop step-by-step colonoscope handling, navigation, loop-management, and mucosal examination skills.
Improve recognition of common colorectal pathology and difficult colonoscopy scenarios.
Gain introductory experience in diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, including snare polypectomy, EMR, and APC.
Understand the prevention, recognition, and management of colonoscopy-related complications.

Target audience

Surgeons with basic endoscopy training who wish to develop or improve their diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy skills.

Two online expert-led lecture sessions
Hands-on simulator training using diagnostic and therapeutic modules
Practice on colonoscopy models and porcine models
Re-Live colonoscopy case demonstrations
Faculty-supervised training with two participants per station
Panel discussions, MCQ and viva assessment, and interactive learning
