Build a strong foundation in basic upper GI endoscopy, including equipment, room setup, patient preparation, and procedural checklists.
Develop skills in endoscope handling, navigation, mucosal examination, and recognition of common upper GI disorders.
Understand the role of endoscopy in upper GI bleeding, achalasia, GERD, and foreign-body management.
Gain introductory experience in diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, including injection, banding, and foreign-body removal.

Target audience

Surgeons, surgical residents, gastroenterology trainees, and clinicians seeking structured introductory training in diagnostic and basic therapeutic upper GI endoscopy.
