Day 1 : Welcome and Inauguration
The first day of the Minimally Invasive and Endoluminal Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Advanced Course 2024 at IRCAD India, led by Dr. Mohit Bhandari, began with a warm welcome and a grand inauguration. The event opened with remarks from Course Director Dr. Jacques Marescaux, alongside Dr. Manoel Galvao Neto, Dr. Silvana Parretta, and Dr. Michel Vix, setting the tone for a high-impact learning experience.
A key highlight of the day was the live surgical workshop, where Dr. Mohit Bhandari, along with other experts, showcased advanced robotic and minimally invasive surgeries. Participants observed these procedures live from IRCAD India’s cutting-edge operating theaters. Adding to the significance of the event, Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Mohan Yadav, joined virtually, emphasizing the importance of such medical advancements.
Day 2: Hands-On Training and Certification
Day two was dedicated to hands-on training, giving participants the chance to practice minimally invasive and endoluminal bariatric techniques under the expert guidance of Dr. Manoel Galvao Neto, Dr. Silvana Parretta, and Dr. Michel Vix. This practical session provided valuable experience with advanced tools and techniques in a supervised setting.
The event culminated with a special gratitude session, led by Dr. Mohit Bhandari, acknowledging the contributions of all faculty, participants, and staff. The certification ceremony marked the successful completion of the course. A special note of gratitude was offered to Dr. Vinod Bhandari for his visionary leadership and to Dr. Mahak Bhandari for his tireless dedication to ensuring the success of the event.
IRCAD India concluded the event on a high note, celebrating two days of learning, innovation, and collaboration in surgical excellence.
