The 7th IRCAD Institute has officially opened: congratulations, IRCAD India! What an achievement!
On 21st and 22nd Oct 2024, Dr. Mohit Bhandari (President) and Dr. Mahak Bhandari (Vice-President) hosted the inaugural course. Each morning featured live surgical demonstrations broadcast from 8 state-of-the-art operating rooms, and every afternoon, participants engaged in hands-on practice in a highly advanced experimental lab. The IRCAD France delegation, led by Prof. Jacques Marescaux, was impressed by the quality and dedication of this new center, designed to uphold the esteemed IRCAD standards for laparoscopic and robotic training. Guests were warmly welcomed with a rich display of Indian culture, highlighting the remarkable dedication and generosity of the entire Bhandari family. They have truly built an “empire” devoted to delivering cutting-edge care for all.
IRCAD India’s opening ceremony was also an opportunity to bring together all nine IRCAD representatives and hold the third “IRCAD International Summit.” This initiative, started by IRCAD Taiwan two years ago, aims to discuss collaborative research and educational projects, share perspectives, and explore how we can, together, improve patient outcomes for the future.
