AMT Insight: Lab to Clinic – Hands-on Training in Amniotic Membrane Transplantation

On 13th September 2025, IRCAD India hosted AMT Insight: Lab to Clinic, a one-day intensive hands-on training program focused on Amniotic Membrane Transplantation (AMT) for ocular surface reconstruction.

This unique course offered participants:

• Fundamentals of AMT – preparation, preservation, and clinical applications.

• Hands-on wet lab training with expert mentors.

• Live demonstrations and open discussions on single and multilayer AMT techniques.

• Practical exposure to fixation methods using sutures and glue.

The program was led by an esteemed faculty panel from across India, combining clinical expertise with translational research insights.
